Sewing Texture Class – Advertisement
This is a fun decorative stitching technique demonstrated by Cynthia Dickerson using a ruffler foot attachment to make a luxurious designer-look pillow. Cynthia created a way to use a ruffler foot to make ruffles the whole width and length of your material. This pillow finishes with a very sophisticated style that you would expect to be complicated and tedious to make. Cynthia explains that we can use any sewing machine for this technique as long as you can attach a ruffler foot. This project is sewn on a Janome 10,000 sewing machine and a serger for various parts, but that would not be absolutely necessary. A confident beginner could stitch this textured accent pillow if each step is followed carefully.
